Title: After School Group Leader
Qualifications: College student or College graduate students

Location: 1415 E. 70th St, Chicago, 60637
Job Goal: To lead groups of students in after school academic and extra-curricular activities including homework help, visual arts, drama, dance, music, Spanish, and instructional sports.
Responsibilities:
Tutors are responsible for between 10 and 20 students in a classroom atmosphere. A tutor ensures the academic and social development of a group of students participating in the program. Our tutors provide homework help and exciting enrichment activities. They maintain program and curricular continuity throughout the academic school year.
All experience working in a school setting will be considered. Special arts related skills are a plus.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ college experience; Bachelor’s degree, education majors preferred.
- Experience working with youth in an educational environment; formal teaching experience highly desired
- Ability to keep students engaged and excited about learning
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively with parents as well as students
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Timely, reliable and accurate record keeping abilities
- Model of pro-active integrity and ethics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet (access required to submit on-line reports)
- Reliable transportation
Monday-Friday 2 hours per day / 10 hours per week
